So over on a wiki site I was featured in an article that is quite bothersome. It lists my personal details which, although factual, can cause a security and safety issue for my newborn daughter (she's 4 months old and 14 lbs now!) since it gives links to my address and such. It is also damaging since it comes up in Google searches (and I was told this did cost me a job by the owner before I got my current gig).

After contacting the site owner about removing it, I was basically told to pee up a rope. I have since sent Right of Publicity takedown notices to their host, Hetzner Online, which takes a strong stand against this kind of thing based off of US (Ohio and the owner's state both recognize it) and German laws (section 12 of the BGB (Germany's Civil Code)). Wikipedia is covered against these things since they cannot "control what their users do", however, this site has no protection since this was done by the site owner and not a user. He is also the owner of the domain according to a WHOIS/ARIN look-up.

I'm not proud of my history, but the "neutrality" of the article is at issue here. In it is posted nothing but negative things. There is no mention of my 17 years on the fire department, my 6 years as an EMT, my 4 years as an ARES responder. No mention of my volunteered time for domestic violence work before I got in trouble or volunteering at a NARHA certified riding center.

What ever happened to someone being able to rehabilitate? Is that dead in today's society? Apparently to them it is.

About all I can say is "lulz, furries".

Talking to a great local band to record particles for our project. It'll be released in a lite version on Friday to the Android Market! We have a venture capital provider offering $250,000 to get the company rolling.

2011 sucked.

Bad:
Legal troubles
Roomates stealing our stuff
Lost our truck

Good:
Had a baby (she's getting big!)
Got a job as the CTO of a game company startup

Hope 2012 is better!

Boss gave me the Galaxy 10.1" tablet to develop Android apps on. After that he offered me the position as Chief Technology Officer with GDW. On top of that, he stopped over today to have me look at his laptop and he offered my wife a position as Artistic Lead. He's getting her a Lenovo laptop and Wacom tablet from Newegg as a welcoming gift!

Woo!
Was just told by my boss that I'm getting a Galaxy tablet 10.1 to keep for testing the app I'm developing. Merry late Christmas!

Not us so much as the little one Wolfie is holding. We have to pay to replace things. We won't do that because we have to take care of our daughter. The things that were stolen were just stuff, but that's the kind of people we were dealing with. We made mistakes but then they felt they had to be "better than the law" and take more of our things per this journal: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2962450/

I have my set of gear in an eBay auction right now to help cover costs. All sizing is in the post. This was bought new and has never seen a structure fire.
